Yes, when you choose a bioethanol fireplace from Vauni, you are choosing modern comfort heating technology. The energy supplied goes straight into the room in the form of heat, instead of being lost up the chimney. This makes the fireplace highly efficient and so you only consume the energy you actually need. As the bioethanol fuel is produced from renewable sources, in net terms no CO2 is added to the atmosphere.
As the stove is flueless, it can be located anywhere you want, whether that’s in an apartment, house, holiday home or public space. Vauni’s systems are designed for rooms with a minimum net room area of 13-20 square meters.
Vauni’s products are certified and type approved by KIWA, which guarantees safe and confident ownership.
No, not in principle. The fireplace is delivered more or less assembled. With wall-mounted models, you have to fix a wall bracket to the wall. However, remember to use the correct fasteners for that particular type of wall (for example, plaster, bricks, wood, concrete).
Pour the fuel (bioethanol) carefully into the opening in the bioethanol burner. Depending on the model, our bioethanol burners hold between 2 and 3 litres (approximately). Take care not to overfill the burner. When the fuel no longer drains from the bottom of the perforated tray in the burner’s opening, the burner is full. We recommend that you always read the instruction manual carefully before lighting the fire for the first time.
The fireplace is ignited using a standard fire-lighter. Unlike other fireplaces, the system ignites immediately without the risk of going out. The flames are a pleasant yellow-orange colour right from ignition. The output (flame size and heat) is regulated using the accompanying regulator tool, which is also used to extinguish the fire.
Vauni’s fireplaces produce a maximum heat output of 2-3 kW, which is equivalent to the heat produced by two radiators. The heat is immediate and directed and can thus serve as a complement to existing heating systems.
No. The combustion process produces no soot and only carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapour (H2O) are produced during use, in similar amounts to those present in air exhaled by an adult human. Thus, no chimney or flue is required.
No, the combustion process is clean and no soot is produced. Only small amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapour (H2O) are produced.
Vauni’s flueless fireplaces use clean, liquid denatured bioethanol, which is sold under various trade names at petrol stations, DIY stores and online.
Vauni’s flueless fireplaces are the result of an extensive development project to design a product with superior usability, efficiency and safety. The result is a product with a unique integrated material that binds the liquid bioethanol fuel. The design is so effective that it prevents fuel from escaping if the fireplace is handled incorrectly. Our fireplaces are optimised to produce beautiful flames, to start quickly and softly, and to have low fuel consumption. Vauni’s bioethanol burners are made of stainless steel, ensuring years of safe, worry-free use.
In summary, the advantages are:
- A bioethanol burner with absorbing function that binds the fuel for unprecedented safety.
- A quick soft-start function that produces beautiful yellow flames in just a few minutes.
- Less sensitivity to draughts.
- High efficiency combined with low fuel consumption.
- Made entirely of stainless steel.
- Very robust design – made to stand the test of time, without sensitive electronics.
Yes, Vauni’s products are certified and type approved by KIWA in Sweden. To obtain certification, the products are thoroughly tested to ensure they meet the most stringent safety requirements currently in force. Carbon dioxide and water emissions from Vauni’s products are within the most stringent limit values currently in force, which guarantees confident and safe ownership.
All homes should be equipped with an approved smoke alarm and have a fire extinguisher. We recommend a 6 kg dry powder extinguisher with an ABC rating. Affordable dry powder extinguishers are available from most DIY stores. Of course, smoke detectors should also be installed.
Denatured ethanol is a flammable class I liquid. The user is responsible for handling and storing it in accordance with the applicable national regulations. Caution must always be observed when handling the fuel.
The cost of denatured ethanol varies depending on the place of purchase, the brand and the quantity. With normal use, the hourly running cost may be calculated as approximately €1-2.
The fireplace consumes at average output about 0.3 litres per hour. At maximum output, it consumes approx. 0.5 litres per hour.
Bioethanol fuels can be purchased at specialized online stores, DIY stores and grocery stores. If you are unsure which fuel to buy, always consult the staff at the place of purchase to ensure you purchase the correct fuel quality, or contact us for advice.
No, using the stove as a heat source for cooking is considered improper use, which permanently destroys the product and fails to satisfy the conditions for flueless comfort heating. Incorrect use is not covered by the warranty.
